In the heart of the French Riviera, just five minutes from the centre of Saint-Tropez, AREV Saint-Tropez revives the glamorous spirit that made this destination legendary.
The five-star hotel occupies the site of the historic Lou Troupelan and reopened in 2024 following an interior design project by Madrid-based studio Luis Bustamante, responsible for both the architecture and the interior design of its rooms and suites.
The design is built around a palette of navy blue, white and red, with the nautical stripe running through the entire project as a tribute to the seafaring tradition of the Côte d'Azur. Each room has its own identity within this shared narrative, combining stripes, toiles de Jouy and floral prints.
At Martínez Otero, we took part in this project by manufacturing and installing the bespoke furniture for the rooms and suites, designed entirely by Luis Bustamante Interiors: upholstered headboards, wardrobes, bedside tables and desks in lacquered wood and oak, together with seating pieces featuring aged brass frames.
Our work also extended to the hotel's common circulation areas — lobbies, staircases and corridors — where we executed cornices, skirtings, mouldings, technical doors and decorative.
In the restaurant, we developed wall panelling, ceilings, wall shelving, the bar and back bar, as well as the dining room furniture — sofas, tables, chairs and curtains — and in the spa area we handled the cladding of the access staircase and its overhead skylight, wall coverings, massage tables and bespoke furniture for the bathrooms and treatment rooms.
A technical undertaking focused on translating the interior designer's vision faithfully, piece by piece, into the built space.
