The Hotel Kimpton Las Mercedes, situado en el barrio de la Ciudad Colonial de Santo Domingo, es la primera propiedad Kimpton del portafolio de Luxury & Lifestyle en la República Dominicana.
On a meticulously renovated 16th-century historic structure, the transformation was carried out by the architecture studio Moneo Brock and designers Pepe Deudero and Linette Nardi.
The hotel is distinguished by its collaboration with local artists and artisans, incorporating colourful design elements that reflect the city's spirit into each space. With 130 rooms, the renovation has fused history with modernity. Original materials have been retained or reused wherever possible, and a modern extension has been added discreetly behind the original structure.
Kimpton Las Mercedes offers 130 rooms, including eight spacious rooftop suites. Each room is adorned with colourful design elements crafted by local artists and craftsmen, capturing the essence of Santo Domingo.
In collaboration with the project, we have contributed to the creation of various room elements, including panelling, wardrobes, headboards, nightstands, mirrors, and dressing tables.
The headboards stand out, featuring a geometric design in natural oak, honey oak, wenge, and walnut. They come in two styles.
