The arrival of The Standard Hotels in Belgium sets a new benchmark for contemporary European hospitality. Located in Brussels' financial district, opposite the Gare du Nord train station, The Standard Brussels offers 200 rooms and a carefully curated selection of social spaces designed to be a meeting point where design, culture, and urban life coexist seamlessly.
Designed by Bernard Dubois Architects and Jaspers-Eyers Architects, the project reinterprets The Standard brand's irreverent and creative identity within a European setting, resulting in a hotel with a unique personality where every detail contributes to a sophisticated, dynamic, and welcoming experience.

At Martínez Otero Contract, we participated in the manufacture and installation of the built-in and freestanding furniture for the guest rooms and common areas. We also managed the entire furniture and equipment (FF&E) process, coordinating the acquisition and supply of decorative and functional elements to ensure a coherent execution that aligned with the interior design concept.
In the guest rooms, we developed bespoke solutions such as headboards, desks, dressing tables, benches, and backlit mirrors, all manufactured from FSC®/PEFC-certified materials and finished with high-quality materials and finishes that provide warmth, durability, and seamless integration with the project's design.

The common areas were among the project's greatest challenges, due to their technical complexity and the high level of customisation required. We manufactured and installed unique pieces such as counters and bars clad in birch wood, with details in green marble and stainless steel; backlit wall-mounted furniture with integrated LED systems; upholstered banquettes and sofas; tables, stools; reception furniture; and terrazzo washbasins, all specifically designed for this hotel.
Precision in manufacturing, the integration of technical solutions, and meticulous attention to detail in every finish were crucial to bringing a project to fruition in which design, functionality, and quality had to coexist without compromise.
Our participation in The Standard Brussels reflects Martínez Otero Contract's ability to manage highly complex hotel projects, offering a comprehensive service that encompasses everything from custom manufacturing to FF&E management, always with the goal of transforming the vision of architects, designers, and hotel operators into unique spaces.
